Dangers of Adware
The word “adware” came from the word advertisements. For your convenience and better understanding break the word into 2 and you’ll find “ad” as in advertisements and “ware” as in from the word software. So, basically adware means advertisement software. Now, how will you differentiate an adware from other general software?
It’s simple to locate an adware. One can find a number of adwares while browsing the internet. How? Well, while browsing the internet you’ll find a number of pop-ups coming up to your screen. These pop-ups are known as post office ports. These are nothing but “adwares”. What happens is, as soon as you get logged in to the internet, these post office ports also know as “adwares” start running automatically.
They install its software in your PC and download the required files to the computer registry with which it would run on your PC. As a result you get these pop-ups every time you get logged in to the internet. Now, you might think that what harm can general “advertisements” bring to your computer? Well, if you’re being casual about it, then you’re being foolish to let in a number of viruses’ damage your computer.
Truth about adwares
Adwares are pop-ups that might look pretty mouth watering since the offers with which they appear looks like to be the best among all. It comes along with low cost offers, offers regarding loans with 0% interests, traveling guide at extremely cheap rates and etc.
In such a case if there is anyone to blame, it’s us. We are so attracted to such offers that we don’t think about the consequences which we might face later.
Did you know that most adwares are links to viruses and malwares and other malicious files? When ever we get into any un-parliamentary website we get hold of such adwares. If you think that you are smart enough to use an anti virus which would resist these adwares from getting inside your computer, then I must say that there are people who are even smarter than you. There are even adwares designed on such a way that even anti viruses fail to locate them. Even highly qualified computer consultants can spend fruitless hours on the job of doing a cleanup, only to have to format the computer in the end.
All adwares are not harmful. Well, all of them don’t carry links to malicious files. They are a bit tricky. They appear with some outstanding offers and we eventually click them to get ourselves connected so that we can explore even more. In such a process we forget that by just a single click we agree to some “money matter” agreements and later they sent you e-mail regarding those promo offers. So we must be careful about adwares. They are so tricky and well designed that we really can’t blame them. If there is anyone at fault, then it’s us.
